I don’t think the feeling had developed to the point of becoming love, but a definite interest is there, in my opinion. Purely hypothetically, without taking the environment and circumstances into account, between Kougami and Yayoi, I think Shion would choose Kougami, because it seems to me that she’s sort of fascinated with him, with his mind and with his talent (not entirely unlike Tsunemori is). I’m sure that she was very much willing if he wanted, and she let him know in a similar way she let Yayoi know that she was interested. If you want my opinion, regarding the relationship with Shion it was Kougami’s call to make. But what started out as a purely sexual relationship, for Yayoi eventually turned into a romantic one.) Karanomori called Yayoi to her lab and promised her to erase the cube and not to tell about its existence to the Inspectors, then winked to Yayoi. (In the story I mentioned it’s described how the relationship started: Rina, Yayoi’s ex-girlfriend (we’ve seen her in the anime), sent a holographic memory cube to CID with porn starring herself and Kunizuka as revenge.
SHION KARANOMORI FULL
To Yayoi, she is full of mysteries, and Yayoi doesn’t understand what Shion thinks, she’s not sure what Shion even feels for her, despite it being Shion who pretty much initiated this relationship. It’s not helping that we never get into Shion’s head (unlike with the other characters, we never really hear her thoughts). She apparently found no proof, but the anxiety never completely left. Shion is likely bi (Yayoi thinks so too), and in the official short bonus story ‘Karanomori Shion and Kunizuka Yayoi’ it’s said that there was a period when Yayoi suspected Shion and Kougami to have a sexual relationship. Whether they ever had sex, no string attached, or not is another matter entirely. The short answer to these questions is, we don’t know for sure, nothing was stated concretely, and the hints given are too vague to conclude anything with any accuracy.Īs to myself, I believe the primary relationship between Shion and Kougami is that of friends and colleagues who understand each other very well on the common grounds of being rational, practical people and possessing above average analytical capabilities.
